Ms. Nicole Bourne

I have a Bachelor's Degree from George Mason University in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Education (PK-6) from Marymount University.  I have been teaching for 19 years. My teaching career began in Virginia before I moved to the Outer Banks. I started teaching in Prince William County Public Schools, then moved to Dare County Schools, Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church Preschool and now I am excited to be a part of the Currituck County School system!  I have 2 children of my own, a daughter attending Appalachian State University and a son attending First Flight High School.  I enjoy snow skiing in the winter and the beach in the summer!  I am looking forward to getting to know your child this year! Ms. Maxine Staats

I attended Christopher Newport University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Early Childhood Studies.  I have been working with PK children for over 20 years and have found that this is my favorite age group to teach!  I live in Currituck County and am married with 2 children!  In my spare time I enjoy walking, biking, yoga, reading and spending time with my family!  I am so excited to get to know each child and work with them this year!   I can be reached at the above number and my email is mstaats@currituck.k12.nc.us
