Each school has a designated 504 Chairperson. The 504 Chairperson at your child’s school will distribute the accommodations in your child’s plan to your child’s teacher(s) and relevant staff member(s) as appropriate. Every teacher must follow the plan and offer the accommodations that are listed.
Once your child has a 504 Plan, it moves with him/her from year to year and from school to school. The 504 Chairperson at your school will distribute the accommodations in your child’s plan before school begins (or after the 10th school day at the high school level) so that accommodations are immediately and continuously available to your child.
